To find your underbust measurement you’ll want to take your measuring tape all the way around behind you, meeting in the middle. A mistake people can make when people do this incorrectly is they let the measuring tape fall down behind them. You want to make sure it is parallel to the ground all the way around you. It really helps to take the measurement while looking in a mirror.
To take your mid torso measurement you’re going to want to stand in front of a mirror. Start right in the middle of your body at your sternum, go all the way down over your belly button down to where your pubic bone begins and you just start to curve. One of the mistakes people make when taking this measurement is they’ll look down as they’re doing this. The best thing you can do is look in the mirror, stand up as straight as possible keep your head forward without looking down to get the accurate measurement.
To take your waist measurement you want to find your belly button. You’ll wrap right around and over it to meet back in the middle. It helps to have a mirror to look at, making sure it’s parallel to the ground. Make sure you’re not pinching too tight, you want to have a nice snug fit and have the measuring tape go right across your belly button.
This is how you take your hip measurement. For our purposes you’re going to want you to take your low hip measurement, right across your hip bones. Go all the way around across your two hip bones, it’ll fall just about at your tailbone. It helps to have a mirror so that you can be sure the tape is parallel to the ground, you do not want it to fall too high, ensuring the measuring tape is straight across.
"Taryn educated me on proper fit for bikini bottoms which have been a game changer for me even with my other bikini’s."
The In-Person consultation at KaiKini Head Quarters was such a fun experience! Seeing where the bikinis are made was a treat In It’s own and amazing that it really is an all-women team. I got to try on a few different sizes and 2 different styles. I knew I wanted a high waisted bottom and the bralette top. Taryn educated me on proper fit for bikini bottoms which have been a game changer for me even with my other bikini’s. Although this is my first custom bikini, it definitely is not my last! Thank you KaiKini Team for pouring your heart and souls into what you do. 💛
